The march toward nearly-free Windows tablets continues. Want to pick up a portable device with the full Windows 8.1 operating system for under $100? The Microsoft Store currently has three options.
The cheapest is a 7 inch Toshiba tablet that sells for $70… but it’s not necessarily the best option since that tablet has a low-quality display. For $79 you can get a 7 inch HP tablet with a better display and a $25 Windows Store gift card. Or for $90 you can score an 8 inch Toshiba tablet.
Here are some of the day’s best deals.

Ah and don’t just expect this stuff to be able to upgrade to Windoze 10, better check first :p
And of course, the universal …err windows app API will be changed again for Windoze 12 (11 will be skipped again, to make it look like greater progress has been made and to lessen the shock about all kinds of needless under the hood API changes to keep ISVs stumbling along in the wake of that awesome sucking sound Microcrap has become)
Microsoft and its partners must be rolling in cash with the success of selling this stuff for 30% of the price they had calculated they could get…
WinBook 820 is also a good buy….
sorry….I meant WinBook TW802 from Micro Center.
Heading to the local Microsoft Store today to pickup a HP tablet because I need an Office subscription.
good strategy!
Cheapest way to subscription ever and a nice toy for your 3-year old to play with 😀
(We know these tablets must be turds when they have to sell them under 100 bucks. 1GB of RAM to run full windows… how bad can it be? Half your battery will be sucked down while you stare at the hourglass :p My Android phone has 3GB RAM)
