There was a time when we got excited about tablets that sold for less than $150. Now you can pick up an Android tablet for the price of hardcover book.
No seriously. Newegg is selling a refurbished Android tablet for just $25. It’s a pretty lousy tablet, with Android 2.3 software, a single-core CPU, a 7 inch, 800 x 480 pixel display, 256MB of RAM, and no access to the Google Play Store.
But I’m sure you can come up with plenty of uses for a $25 tablet: use it as a clock radio, give it to your kids to watch videos, look up recipes in the kitchen, etc.
If you want a slightly better tablet, Altatac is selling a 7 inch tablet with Android 4.1 software, Google Play Store access, and twice the RAM for just $50.
