B&N NOOK HD+

The Barnes & Noble NOOK HD+ is a 9 inch tablet with a 1920 x 1200 pixel display, a TI OMAP dual core processor, and a custom operating system based on Android 4.0. Independent developers have also made some serious progress porting a full-blown version of Android 4.1 to run on the hardware.

Normally Barnes & Noble charges $269 and up for this tablet… and that’s exactly how much the company is selling the NOOK HD+ through its eBay store for today. But the company is also throwing in a $25 gift card with purchase at the moment.

Better yet, Staples is selling the tablet for just $199.

If you’re looking for an even cheaper tablet, Best Buy is offering a 24% off coupon on all clearance items today — and that includes the first generation Amazon Kindle Fire, which you can pick up for just $99.

Not a fan of the Kindle Fire OS? You can install Android 4.2 on the tablet.

  1. The AO725 looks like a good deal. I’d be tempted to get it if I didn’t still have my AO522. Though the CPUs side of AMD’s APUs aren’t too powerful, I’ve been tremendously impressed by the medium-to-light gaming and graphics processing capabilities of the GPU side of things.
