Amazon introduced a bunch of new Echo devices this week. But the original $50 entry-level Echo Dot is still the company’s cheapest Amazon Alexa-enabled smart speaker.
And if you’re in the market for an Echo Dot and a Fire TV, Amazon is running two promotions at the moment. You can pick up a 2nd-gen Fire TV Stick + Echo Dot for $60… which is sort of like getting the speaker for normal price and getting a Fire TV Stick for $10 more.
Or you can order an Echo Dot + Fire TV (2017 with 4K & HDR support) for $80. Since the new Fire TV alone normally sells for $70, that’s a pretty big discount. The only catch? It won’t ship until October 25th when the new Fire TV is released.

I ordered the 4K fire plus Dot package this morning. In case anyone is wondering, the Dot is shipping immediately and the Fire is coming on the release date.
