Microsoft’s music subscription service normally costs $10 per month, just like Apple’s, Google’s Spotify’s, and just about everyone else’s. But if you’ve never signed up for a Groove Music pass before, now’s a pretty good time to give it a try.
Between now and September 5th, Microsoft is offering a buy one month, get six months free sale. If you pay $9.99 for a one month subscription, Microsoft will send you two promo codes, each of which is good for an extra three month subscription.
In other words, about $10 gets you 7 months of access to millions of on-demand songs using Microsoft’s Groove Music apps for Windows, iOS, or Android.
Here’s the fine print: the offer is only good in the US, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, and Mexico. Microsoft will send you the promo “tokens” within 30 days, and you’ll need to redeem them by October 31st, 2017. And if you don’t cancel your subscription in time, Microsoft will bill you $9.99 for your eight month of music.

“But if you’ve never signed up for a Grove Music pass before, now’s a pretty good time to give it a try”
Darn! And here I thought it was the The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, 2nd edition, The New Grove Dictionary of Opera, and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz, 2nd edition with complete tracks all for next to nothing.
But now I see it is a bunch of unlistenable so-called “pop-music” 😉
Groove is a rut, a repetitive ploughing through the home music creatons. Borrr–ing.!
The actual Grove (one-Oh) subscriptions from the Oxford University Press are: Annual Subscription: $195.00* and Monthly Subscription: Pay only $29.95* each month.
