  1. TigerDirect is wrong on the sale prices 90 % of the time…plus usually has 2-3 rebates to jump thru on one item…to much hassle to shop there,,,plus high shipping and TAXES

  2. I wish Liliputing would require the vendor they cite with a “deal,” to maintain that deal for a required amount of time. All too often, when TigerDirect is listed, a click on the link (as is the case currently regarding the Dell Venue 8 tablets) shows a much higher price than the “deal” Liliputing is stating. It appears TigerDirect is using Liliputing for a bait and switch “deal” that they aren’t really intending to honor. Obviously TigerDirect still has the product—they didn’t run out of inventory—they’re just not honoring the “deal” price posted by Liliputing. The problem here is that Liliputing has a responsibility to its loyal readers. I’m tired of chasing illusory “deals,” only to be disappointed. Shame on TigerDirect—but also shame on Liliputing.

      1. Hmmm… or maybe it isn’t. It seems to only work when you click through from TigerDirect’s deals email. I’ll either find a working link or replace the top deal.

        News/deals sites/blogs have a responsibility to stay timely and accurate, and links that don’t show the right prices aren’t accurate. It’s really that simple. Of course, he could’ve been more tacit with his words, but if non-“subscription-based” grants a pass from accountability then no one should complain when free over-the-air TV networks broadcast false news. After all, you can always become a reporter and write your own news reports, no?

        We come here because we trust that Brad provides timely and accurate news, and he’s consistently done a great job for as long as I’ve visited (five-plus years now). I am sure Brad can handle the occasional grunts.
