Haven’t signed up for one of the ever-growing number of $10/month music-on-demand streaming services? Right now you can get a 4-month subscription for less than a buck.

Amazon is offering 4-months of its Music Unlimited service for $0.99. Google, meanwhile has that price beat: the company’s Play Music Unlimited service is free for new subscribers for the first 4 months.

Unfortunately signing up for both today doesn’t give you 8 months of free music: both services will go up to full price when the promotional period ends. But at least you have a third of a year to decide which service better meets your needs.

Note that the Amazon deal requires an Amazon Prime membership — but you can sign up for a 30-day free trial to get the promotional pricing if you’re not already a paying member.

In related news: today is the latest day to sign up for a 3-month free trial for YouTube Red.
