The Acer Switch 12 Alpha may not be the newest 2-in-1 Windows tablet from Acer, but it’s still a pretty good option for a reasonably low price: the 12 inch tablet has a high-resolution display, pen support, an Intel Core i3 or better Skylake processor, and a fanless design. Unlike some so-called 2-in-1 tablets, the detachable keyboard comes with the tablet rather than being sold as a separate accessory.

Prices for the Switch 12 Alpha started at about $600 when the tablet first hit the streets last summer. But right now you can pick up a new model for as little as $510, or a refurbished tablet for just $440.

  1. Or they can get the Windows yoga book for 398 on Amazon (only two in sick right now but multiple sellers have it at that price) or the Android for as little as 303 (gray option, gold is around 330). Yes, I know Amazon is evil but that’s a BIG difference.
