There are plenty of cheap Chromebooks on the market. But if you want to pick one up for less than $150 you usually have to search for a refurbished model.

At the moment there’s another option: Walmart is selling a Chromebook with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a Rockchip RK3288 processor for just $109.

While it’s not the speediest Chromebook around, it’s one of the cheapest… and based on my experience with the original Asus Chromebook Flip, the RK3288 chip is plenty good enough for basic tasks.

  1. Someone should buy a few of those $109 Chromebooks, and list them on ebay for $150 or so with international shipping available. I know a lot of Canadians would be all over it, we can’t get anything like that here for under $250.
