Carry an umbrella and it probably won’t rain. Buy a new laptop and a better one will come along for the same price.

I don’t know if those are universal rules, but a month or so after I spent $700 on a new laptop that seemed like a crazy good deal at that price, along comes a deal that makes me wish I’d held off a little longer.

Best Buy is selling a Yoga 900 13.3 inch notebook with a 3200 x 1800 pixel display and 360-degree hinge, a Core i7-6560U Skylake processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage for $700.

That’s the same price I paid for my laptop, but this model has a higher-resolution display, a convertible tablet-style design, and a better keyboard (although the touchpad does appear to be smaller).

Oh well. I’m going to live with my decision. But if I were in the market for a 2.8 pound convertible notebook today, this is probably the one I’d buy.

Here are some of the day’s best deals.
