Asus launched the Transformer Book T100 about a year ago, but it’s still one of the best 2-in-1 Windows tablet/laptop hybrids available for under $300.
These days it’s often available for way under that price. Groupon is offering a refurbished model for $200, but if you apply a coupon code you can snag this 10 inch Windows tablet and keyboard dock for $20 off.
Here are some of the day’s best deals.

How does the T100 and X205 compare if they’re available for ~$200?
The T100 is a 2-in-1 or hybrid, the slate (aka tablet part) has
the CPU, RAM, eMMC (internal flash storage, like an SD card),
and is detachable from the keyboard, and can function standalone.
The T100 has been around for a year, the Groupon deal is for
a refurbed version without MS Office. The original T100 if
purchased new, came with a full version of Microsoft Office
2013 software, preinstalled on the T100. The refurb version
does not come with the Office software.
There is a newer version of the T100 but the Groupon deal isn’t
a refurb of it.
The X205 is an 11.6″ version of the netbook, it’s a traditional
notebook. The X205 is a new product. Info so far doesn’t
indicate the X205 comes with a year of Office 365 (online
Office, not Office software installed on the PC’s hard disk).
office is trash, overpriced and makes computers more expensive. Just use libre or open office.
Thanks for the detailed info!
I’m not sure if the refurb Windows 8.1 devices that originally
came with full Office installed, will have the full Office in their
refurbished incarnations. Since the Office license is worth
over $100 at retail, absence of Office in a refurbed model
virtually negates any savings achieved from buying refurbed
vs. buying new. In some instances, users have reported that
the Office software had been removed from (i.e., not present in)
refurbed models. This absence applies to refurbed Dull (er, Dell)
devices also.
Also given the spotty quality of some of these
devices (like the Asus T100), having other than a full year’s
warranty could be taking an undue risk (not that end users
have reported satisfactory experiences with manufacturers
like Asus, even though they had the full 1 year warranty).
