There’s no shortage of ways to find free or cheap music on the internet. But now there’s one more way: Microsoft has launched a new app for Windows and Windows Phone called Music Deals.
Install the free app, fire it up and you’ll see a $0.99 album of the week as well as links to 100 more albums which you can purchase for $1.99 each. New deals will launch every Tuesday.
Music Deals is basically just a place for window shopping. When it comes time to actually purchase music, you’re taken to the Xbox Music app to complete the transaction. You don’t have to use the Xbox app to play your tunes though — you can download them as DRM-free MP3 files.
