The Barnes & Noble NOOK HD 7 is a tablet with a 7 inch, 1440 x 900 pixel display, a TI OMAP 4 dual-core processor, and 8GB of storage. It’s not the fastest tablet around, and B&N’s custom Android user interface with a bookshelf-style launcher might not be to everyone’s tastest.
But unlike the Amazon Kindle line of tablets, the Nook HD features the Google Play Store, which means you can choose from hundreds of thousands of Android apps.
And the NOOK HD is a lot cheaper than Amazon’s tablet. It normally sells for $129 and up — but right now you can snag a refurbished model for just $70.
That’s probably the best price you’re likely to find on a decent Android tablet anytime soon.
