You’ve already got a phone, tablet, and PC you’re happy with… so what are you doing reading this daily deals article? Well, maybe you need a new USB microphone… a portable audio player… or a bunch of free movies or comics.

As I mentioned in the Movies Anywhere article earlier today, you can snag 5 free movies when you sign up for an account and link it to two other services (like iTunes, Vudu, Google Play, or Amazon). Then you can watch those videos on any of those services.

Sure, if all of those services shut down tomorrow, your movies disappear. DRM sucks that way. But at least you won’t have paid anything.

In a similar DRM-laden deal, you can get a bunch of DC comic book issues for free today through Amazon’s Kindle store.

  1. “Then you can watch those videos on any of those services.” So how does that work? I made the account, I got the movies, I connected my google and amazon account. I would expect that the movies show up as ‘already purchased” in the play store and on amazon, but it isn’t. How can I watch them on other platforms?
