Google’s Daydream virtual reality platform lets you transform your Android phone into a VR device by putting it into a headset and picking up a controller.
While you could buy a standalone Daydream headset for a more seamless experience, the use-your-own-phone option is cheaper if you’ve already got a compatible handset. And while Google’s Daydream View headset isn’t all that expensive at its usual list price of $100, it’s a heck of a lot more attractive when you can pick one up for just $30.
That’s how much Verizon is charging for the headset right now. You don’t need to be a Verizon subscriber to score the deal: you can checkout as a guest.
