Samsung’s Galaxy Buds have received decent reviews for comfort and sound quality, but with a list price of $130 they’re not exactly the most wallet-friendly set of true wireless earbuds on the market. Right now Samsung is selling them for $20 off, but Woot has an even better deal — you can pick up a pair of white Galaxy Earbuds for just $75.
If you’re willing to pay a little more for faster shipping and/or prefer a different color, Amazon is selling the Galaxy Buds in black for $84.
Or if you just need some dirt cheap wireless headphones, Amazon is selling a set of Tribit XFree Go over-ear headphones for $20 today when you clip the on-page coupon.

Well, Brad did warn us (“some Amazon accounts only”). This is definitely classed as “bait-and-swap” as far as I’m concerned, though. The message at the top of the initial ($3 off offer) page is:-
“…click the “Buy now with 1-Click” button. Please note that the price shown will not change, but your credit will be applied to your purchase automatically, reducing the purchase price of each Kindle book by $3 (the credit will appear after the order processes).”
So you can’t tell whether you get the deal or not until -after- you’ve ordered….
As you’ve probably realized already, I didn’t get the deal (but I did get dinged for an extra 40-cents tax). So, the moral is, stay clear of this one (and just to be clear, this is not Brad’s fault).
On a more positive note, if you’re a fan of apocalyptic sci-fi, you might enjoy Paul Antony Jones’ “Extinction Point”. It’s -not- a zombie-apocalypse novel, thank goodness (although it seems to be veering in that direction at one point). Just be aware that this is book 1 of 32,768 (I know that I’m not the only one to detest this latest trend), so you’re really only getting the introduction (308 pages). If you have a weak stomach, it might be best not to read this one while snacking (especially not at a stand-up counter in Starbucks).
