Sometimes you need a high-power computer for gaming, media creation, or performing complex calculations. And sometimes you just need something with a mouse, keyboard, and hopefully at least 4GB of RAM.
If that’s what you’re looking for, today’s a good day to pick up a cheap laptop — Best Buy is selling an Asus E203MA 11.6 inch laptop for $130. For that price you get a computer with a 768p display, a dual-core Intel Celeron N4000 Gemini Lake processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.
If you’ve got a bit more money to spend, you can pick up a 14 inch Acer laptop with a full HD display and a quad-core processor for $259, or a Lenovo Flex 11 with a Pentium Silver N5000 chip, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage for $279.

a 32 gb emmc is not really enough to run windows 10. you can’t install feature updates to windows 10.
any such laptop is worthless. 64 gb is the real minimum if you want to be able to keep windows 10 up to date.
32GB storage is one Windows update away from being full. The performance crashes through the floor after that update too. This is after you have done the most thororough cleanup you can with nothing but the browser on as additional software.
Do not buy 32GB machines even if if they are going for $50
While intrigued by the “Shartp” Roku TV, I’m pretty sure it is just a re-branded “Sharp” one.
That’s a terrific price for the 4GB model. Love the matte screen! I paid $120 for the 2GB back around Christmas time. The first thing I did was update it from Win 10S to Win 10 Home and locked it from performing any Windows Updates unless I specifically tell it to. I was quite surprised by the performance.
I then wiped it out and installed Peppermint Linux. THAT runs quite nicely and had nearly 20GB free on the internal eMMC. (I ended up going back to Windows because there are a few Windows apps that I need that don’t quite work with WINE)
Just curios, how did you block WIN update? Thanks
