  1. A printer! That’s not something often found here! Brother makes good laser printers. I had an all-in-one from them and was not impressed with the scan quality, but that was an older unit. I currently use a single-function Brother laser.

    1. I personally picked up a DCP-L2540DW a few years ago for $50, and I’ve been very happy with it. This is a slightly newer version of that and $90 is still a pretty great price.

From time to time I do throw Brother printers into the daily deals because of that — but rarely do I mention deals from other companies, because there are a lot of printers out there and I don’t have much first-hand knowledge regarding which ones are worth the price… even when they’re available at deep discounts.

  2. I own that Brother laser printer. Its a very cost effective printer. Toner cartridges are cheap, and last very long. The only heads up I would offer about it is that it tends to allow a fair amount of dust into the printer, and this affects the printing quality. After about 3 months of use (in a room with a reasonable amount of dust), it started printing lots of black spots on the paper. I’ve had to clean it internally twice in the 1st year i’ve owned it.
