CTL unveiled two new computers for the education market at CES this week. The CTL SB4 Chromebook is a $199 Chrome OS laptop with 4GB of RAM, an 11.6 inch display, and an Intel Bay Trail processor, and the CTL EG2 Rugged Windows Flip 360 Tablet is a Windows notebook with an 11.6 inch notebook with a touchscreen display that folds back to let you hold the computer like a tablet.

While CTL says the Windows model will be available to education customers for $349 and up, the retail price of this model seems to be $529.

The SB4 Chromebook is powered by an Intel Celeron N2840 Bay Trail processor and features a 1366 x 768 pixel display and Google’s Chrome operating system. CTL says it should offer up to 9.5 hours of battery life, and the retail price is the same as the education price: $199.

The Windows model has an Intel Celeron N3000 processor, 2GB of RAM, support for up to 500GB of storage (although an entry-level model has 320GB), and a 1366 x 768 pixel display.

It has a rugged, dust-resistant case that CTL says withstand a fall of about 2.3 feet onto a concrete floor. The system also features a fanless design, HDMI output, a microSDHC card reader, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, a USB 3.0 port and a USB 2.0 port.
