The Compulab Intense PC is a tiny desktop computer with a fanless design. It measures 7.5″ x 6.3″ x 1.57″.
While many of Compulab’s earlier PCs feature low power Intel Atom, AMD G-Series, or NVIDIA Tegra processors in order to reduce heat generation, the Intense PC packs an Intel Sandy Bridge processor.
The computer is available with a choice of 17W Intel Celeron, Core i3, or Core i7 chips.
Compulab first unveiled the Intense PC in March. Now it’s available for purchase with prices starting at $399.
For that price you get an entry level barebones system with an Intel Celeron 827E processor, Intel HD Graphics 2000, no RAM or hard drive.
A top of the line system will run you $1156. For that price you get an Intel Core i7-3517UE Ivy Bridge processor, 8GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive, and Windows 7 Professional.
There are a number of options in between with most models featuring Sandy Bridge processors.
The computers feature HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet, S/PDIF 7.1 channel audio, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, and 2 eSATA ports. They’re expected to ship in about 6 weeks.

Lovely little device, but too $$$ for the level of performance. This will keep it to a niche item.
Thanks for the mention Brad 😉
I’m personally very excited for this incredibly powerful little box. We’re NOT in a post-PC world just yet.
Your site is pretty cool. I’ve been wanting to put together a quiet desktop. I didn’t even know I could make a fanless one without resorting to using an Atom.
Not as cool as Liliputing, but thank you so much Kirk 🙂
Go ahead, fanless solutions are everywhere and multiplying!
