The Samsung NC210 is one of the latest mini-laptops from Samsung. It features a 1.5 GHz Intel Atom N550 dual core processor, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and has a 48Whr cell battery. Samsung quietly unveiled the netbook at CES in January, and now the folks at Netbook News.it have managed to get their hands on a Samsung NC210 and they’ve posted an unboxing and first look video which you can find after the break.

The laptop has a 10 inch matte display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, 1GB of RAM, and a 250GB hard drive. It sells for about 349 Euros in Italy. That’s about $479 US, but Samsung hasn’t announced any US pricing or availability for this netbook yet.

The Samsung NC210 has a chiclet-style keyboard and a very large touchpad for a 10 inch netbook.

Netbook News.it a seems very impressed with the design of the laptop, which has a silver and black paint job and some chromed highlights around the power button and other areas. The price is also pretty good for a dual core netbook in Italy.

  1. Some news for you Brad. I just saw this model. Shockingly, in Asia, its comes with a crazy 8850 MAH battery. Weight and slimness remain the same as a normal 4800 MAH battery. So, the unit is about 1.2Kgs.

It also comes with a dual core N570, 2GB spec.

There are no reviews yet but in your opinion, how long do you think this crazy power battery can give? I can’t believe the capacity of this battery!!!

If this is so, Samsung may be breathing new life to the netbook in the light of the proliferation of tablets.

  2. Netbooks seems to be the cheapest now. Look at the prices of the Xoom, Galaxy 10.1 and the other branded ones. The prices are crazy. From your entry Brad, I am shocked to learn that the Samsung will retail nearly $1000.

Tablets manufacturers are starting to do what netbook manufacturers did before. (Before their downfall). Firstly, create a cheap product which sells extremely well. Then come out with all sorts of new features and jack up the prices.

What manufacturers fail to realise, majority of people just want a cheapo product merely to surf the web. Something that is so cheap, if it gets lost, they would mind that much.

Tablets used to be so cheap but now, the good ones are retailing so high in price. Many are now going back to the humble netbook. This is the case in Asia. A good Samsung N145 netbook is about $250 in Asia but a good tablet is 3 times the price.
