Last month we spotted a tablet from Taiwan’s BungBungame at the FCC website. This week the company officially introduced the BungBungame Photon 100 tablet.
The computer has a 1 GHz AMD Z-01 processor, supports up to 4GB of RAM, and a 64GB solid state disk. It runs Windows 7, and the company is targeting the enterprise market, suggesting it could be used in medical, restaurant, hotel, or insurance settings.
The Photon 100 weighs about 1.8 pounds and features a 2750mAh battery, 2 USB ports, a mini HDMI port and microSD card slot. It will launch in Taiwan in February for about $660. There’s no word on whether it will go on sale in the US anytime soon, but the company plans to show off the tablet at CES in January.
I’m a little surprised to discover that the tablet is aimed at business customers, given the company’s background in game development. The BungBungame website also leaves a bit to be desired.
