Budget phone maker BLU’s latest device is a $130 Android smartphone that has a rugged, shock-absorbent and water-resistant case. And that… is probably the best thing about the BLU Tank Xtreme 5.0.

As far as specs? It’s kind of a lousy phone. I’m not sure I’d recommend anyone use it as a primary device. But if you’re looking for a phone that can take a beating on a camping trip, (or one that you can give to an accident-prone youngster), this might make a decent secondary phone.

The BLU Tank Xtreme 5.0 is available from Amazon for $130.

The phone features a thick rubberized frame to help protect it from bumps and falls. The phone has an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. That means it won’t necessarily survive prolonged immersion in water, but it should be able to handle splashes or rain.

BLU’s phone is equipped with a 1.3 GHz MediaTek 6580 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage. It has a 5 inch, 1280 x 720 pixel IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. And the phone is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery.

It has a microSD card slot for removable storage and the BLU Tank Xtreme 5.0 runs Android 6.0 software. The phone supports 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GSM cellular networks.

There’s a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and autofocus, and a 5MP fixed-focus front camera.
