After making a debut in Taiwan in April, the Asus Zenbook Flip UX360 is now available for purchase in the United States.
It’s the first member of the Asus Zenbook family to feature a convertible design: flip the 13.3 inch touchscreen display back 360 degrees until it’s back-to-back with the keyboard and you can hold the laptop like a tablet.
The Asus Zenbook Flip UX360 is available from Asus for $699 or from the Microsoft Store for $749.
The UX360CA-UBM1T model that’s currently available features a 13.3 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display, an Intel Core m3-6Y30 Skylake processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB solid state drive.
While the Core M processor isn’t as powerful as the chips found in some other notebooks, it does have its benefits: the laptop is thin, light, and fanless.
The Zenbook UX360 measures 12.7″ x 8.7″ x 0.54″ and weighs about 2.8 pounds.
Other features include a 54 Whr battery, which Asus says should be good for up to 12 hours of run time, a USB Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, a micro HDMI port, headset jack, and SD card reader. It supports 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1.
Unlike the Zenbook UX305UA laptop I reviewed recently, the Zenbook Flip has a Precision touchpad, which should offer better performance as well as the ability to manage your touchpad settings in Windows 10 without the need for any third-party software.
According to a product listing on the Asus website, the Zenbook Flip may also be available with a few other optional features including a Core M5 or Core M7 processor, a 3200 x 1800 pixel display, and up to 512GB of storage.
