The AsusPro B9440 business laptop isn’t the only new 14 inch laptop from Asus with a slim design and the chassis of a 13 inch notebook. The company has also unveiled a new consumer-oriented model called the Zenbook 3 Deluxe.
The laptop measures about half an inch thick and weighs about 2.4 pounds, a and has 7.5mm (0.3 inch) bezels around the screen.
Asus is positioning this as a premium device, and it’ll have a premium price tag. The Zenbook 3 Deluxe is expected to sell for $1699 when it launches in May.
Update: The laptop didn’t quite make its May launch date, but it did get a price cut to $1199.
You do get some top-tier specs for the money. The notebook features 16GB of RAM, 1TB of PCIe solid state storage, and a Core i7-7500U processor.
It also has two Thunderbolt 3/USB Type-C ports and one more USB Type-C port, quad speakers with Harman Kardon audio, and a fingerprint scanner built into the keyboard.
There’s no word on whether Asus plans to launch less expensive models with lower amounts of storage or memory.
