The new 10 inch 2-in-1 convertible tablet Asus unveiled in January is now available for purchase. The Asus Transformer Book T100 Chi is a Windows tablet with a full HD display, an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor, and a starting price of $399 for a model with 32GB of storage.

You can also pick up a 64GB model for $449.

Both models feature 1920 x 1200 pixel displays, Intel Atom Z3775 Bay Trail processors, and 2GB of RAM. They features 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, front and rear cameras, microSD card support, micro HDMI, and micro USB ports. The tablets have 30 Wh batteries.

They ship with Windows 8.1 software and come with a 1-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 Personal.

The tablet has a slim aluminum case that measures about 0.3 inches thick and weighs about 1.3 pounds. Add the detachable keyboard dock and you’ve got a laptop that’s about 0.5 inches thick and 2.4 pounds.

Asus also offers an optional Active Stylus Pen with 256-levels of pressure sensitivity for writing or drawing.

Asus is also announcing the availability of the larger, more powerful Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi which has a 12.5 inch screen and an Intel Core M processor. The company says this model is available for pre-order for $699 and up, but the Microsoft Store already has the entry-level model in stock.

  1. So whats up with the shift keys? Would I rather have a shift key thats large enough to press…. or tiny Arrow keys? hmmm… Not sure what they were thinking there.
