One of these days Asus is going to change its name to Eee. Until then, the company just keeps pumping out new products with the Eee PC name. This week the Eee Top all-in-one desktop computer made its first retail appearance at Clove Technology, where it’s available for pre-order. And now DigiTimes reports that Asus will be releasing a line of motherboards with Eee branding early next year.

There’s no information on what will make these motherboards different from any other Asus motherboards. My guess is that they’ll be designed for use with the Intel Atom CPU and they may involve Asus ExpressGate software.

In related news, Asus has announced that it will replace Eee Box units the company accidentally shipped even though they were infected with a virus.
