You know that video I showed you yesterday? The one with a dude using the new super-thin Eee PC 1008HA Seashell to pick a lock? (Or rather, to pretend to pick a lock). Yeah, apparently it was just the tip of the iceberg. Because Asus has launched a new site to promote the Eee PC 1008HA Seashell featuring a bunch of tongue in cheek videos. For instance, in one video the hero is tied up in a chair, and uses an Eee PC 1008HA to cut the ropes and escape. In another, he uses the netbook to shave.

Samsung is also having a bit of fun with its N310 netbook promotional videos. And the company seems to have a slightly higher advertising budget, as you can see in the stop-motion video after the break. Interesting side-note, I’m quite impressed with the juggling gag halfway through the video. They actually took the time to animate the juggling patterns correctly. (As any juggler can tell you, when you’re juggling an odd number of objects, they cross from one hand to the other in a cascade pattern. Even numbers are juggled in a fountain pattern, where objects don’t cross hands).

  1. I’d been wondering what you did to while away all your idle hours. Maybe you could make us a video of you juggling 🙂
