Hot on the heels of the Eee PC 900HA, Asus appears to have launched the Eee PC 904HA. What’s the difference? The 904HA has a 6 cell battery while the 900HA has a 4 cell battery. The 904HA also costs about $50, at $399.99. While the 904HA has the same 8.9 inch display as the 900HA, it appears to come in a package the size of the larger 10-inch Eee PC 1000H. That means you get a larger keyboard, a slightly heavier netbook, and a big ole bezel around the screen.
Eee PC News.de reports that the 904HA will be available in green and red. A black version is already available for pre-order from Amazon.
The pictures available At Eee PC News.de seem to indicate that the battery, which sticks out quite a bit from the laptop, does not seem to take up the whole length of the computer which makes it look kind of ugly. On the other hand, $50 for an extra hour or two of battery life isn’t a bad deal.

will an eee pc 904ha motherboard fit a 900ha?
Why?
Isn’t the 904 chassis the same as the 1000 with a 9 inch screen (10.5/7.5/1.5 versus 8.9/6.7/1.3)? Therefore, bigger keyboard and bezel. Help, I’m sooo confused!
Actually, that sounds about right. I was thrown off a bit because Sascha from Eee PC News.de said it was basically a 900HA with a 6-cell battery. But this would explain why the battery looks like it doesn’t really fit and why the Amazon picture shows a large bezel (although the Amazon image does not show the battery sticking out in the back).
