The Asus Eee PC 1215B is the first 12 inch portable notebook from Asus to ship with an AMD Fusion chip. It’s available with an AMD C-30 single core low power processor or a C-50 or E-350 dual core processor. All three models include integrated AMD Radeon HD graphics which are capable of handling 1080p video playback without breaking a sweat, and which offer reasonably good 3D graphics for gaming and other tasks. The notebook isn’t available for purchase yet, but the folks at Netbook Live managed to get a demo unit to review.
The review looks at the top of the line model with an AMD E-350 18W chip, Radeon 6310 graphics, GB of DDR3 memory, and Windows 7 Home Premium. It weighs 3.2 pounds and should look familiar to anyone who has seen an Asus 12.1 inch notebook in the last few years. The case design is pretty much par for the course.
What’s new is the chip, which can apparently handle ripped Blu-ray movies and 1080p Flash video without any problems. The computer also gets a decent Windows Experience Index score of about 3.8 — with the processor being the weakest link. The graphics scores are pretty high for a budget laptop.
Netbook Live reports that the Eee PC 1215B doesn’t get noticeably warm during everyday use, and the laptop is reasonably quiet and managed to get around 5 hours of battery life.

Hey Brad, here is another review of 1215B – https://mobilityupdate.com/netbooks/asus-1215b-review/
This one has AMD C50, 2GB RAM..etc.
Did you check this out – it’s criminal now to link to other web sites?
https://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/03/10/new-york-man-faces-five-years-in-jail-for-linking-to-online-videos/
That’s sort of a broad interpretation. There’s a difference between linking to another web site which may or may not have questionable content and maintaining a web site which has the sole purpose of linking to content that has been knowingly uploaded without the copyright holders’ permission.
Uh, I don’t think it was ever mentioned that Bobcats are getting turbo boost.
So far it has only been mentioned for the desktop line up update for Q3…

I don’t think we should expect too much from that update anyway. The main update will be next year when they introduce the mobile versions of the Bulldozers and Llano APU, along with shrinking the manufacture nm size.
By the time summer rolls around AMD will have a very compretitive lineup for the back to school season… the bobcats will be getting turbo boost and liano will be available. Both will be very competitive with what intel is offering. We need to support them if we are going to have a competitive situation…it’s hard to imagine that without AMD we could get more than adequate performance for well below $500.
Agreed. This AMD Fusion option is a welcomed kick in the netbook market which was otherwise stalled. We should all support this. I’ll wait for a decent Linux support and then upgrade my current 1005PE to one of these babies.
