Asus Eee PC 1008ha dissected

If you’ve been wondering if the Asus Eee PC 1008HA is as pretty on the inside as it is on the outside, the answer is, well, not really. While Asus submitted a series of documents to the FCC for review last month, the FCC published a few new docs yesterday including a series of external and internal photos of the Eee PC 1008HA Seashell netbook.

While there’s room to swap out the internal storage for a larger hard drive or SSD, there’s not really a lot of room to play with inside the netbook. And this is clearly a netbook without a user replaceable battery. Asus is expected to launch a new Eee PC 1005HA model soon which features a similar design, but measures a few millimeters thicker and has a battery that you can replace or upgrade.

  1. I guess we don’t have to worry about our government agencies being anal-retentive about precision measurements.
