The Asus C200 Chromebook which sells for $249 is a consumer model with an Intel Celeron N2830 Bay Trail processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage. Asus loaned me a demo unit to test, and I found that it offers spectacular battery life and decent performance.

But if you’re looking for something with slightly better specs, it turns out the company has an education-oriented model with more memory and storage.

The Asus C200MA-EDU-4GB is a $329 model of the little laptop which features 4GB of RAM and a 32GB solid state drive.

Other features are largely the same, so expect the laptop to feature the same Celeron processor, 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel Glossy display, WiFi, Bluetooth, and Chrome OS software.

While this variant is described as an education-oriented model, anyone can buy one… if you can find a store that has it in stock.

PCMall, B&H, Provantage, and CDW are sell the Chromebook, although not all of those stores currently have the Asus C200MA-EDU-4GB in stock.

Acer also offers Chromebooks with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 32GB of storage, along with an more powerful Intel Celeron 2955U Haswell processor with prices ranging from $199 to $349.
