Amazon is now taking orders on its new line of Kindle eReaders and tablets. Prices start at $69 for an eReader with an E Ink display, and $159 for an Android tablet with a full color display.
All of those starting prices are for models with “special offers,” or ads on the home screen or lock screen.

- Kindle Fire HD 7 – ships Sept 14th, pre-order now for$199 and up
- Kindle Fire HD 8.9 – ships Nov 20th, pre-order now for $299 and up
- Kindle Fire HD 8.9 with 4G – ships Nov 20th, pre-order now for $499 and up
The new Kindle Fire has a faster processor and lower price tag than the first Kindle Fire, and it also has twice the RAM. But it still ships with 8GB of storage.
Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD line of tablets are available with 16GB or 32GB of storage, while the Kindle Fire HD with 4G comes with either 32GB or 64GB.
