Amazon has been working to expand its Kindle business around the globe, and the latest stop is Japan. The company has announced that the Kindle Store is now open in Japan and the Kindle Fire, Kindle HD, and Kindle Paperwhite are all up for pre-order.

Amazon Kindle Fire HD Japan

Amazon’s 7 inch Android tablets will ship in Japan starting on December 19th. The Kindle Paperwhite eReader should hit Japan on November 19th.

The Japanese Kindle Store goes live on October 25th, and Amazon will offer more than 50,000 Japanese language eBooks, along with well over a million overall titles. About 15,000 Manga titles will also be included.

Kindle users in Japan will also be able to buy music, apps, and games. I don’t see any mention of Amazon Instant Video though.
