AmazePC has a decent assortment of 7 to 12 inch mini-laptops and mobile internet devices in its lineup. But Italian retail site Kelkoo has a listing for an AmazePC netbook that doesn’t show up on the company’s home page: A barebones model that ships without RAM, a hard drive, or an operating system.
This means users can choose their own components and operating system and aren’t bound by the usual 1GB of RAM and 160GB restriction placed on most netbooks that ship with Windows XP. While that kind of freedom is nice, I would have expected it to result in a significantly cheaper netbook. Kelkoo is selling the AmazePC barebones system for about 210 Euros, which is nearly $310 US. You can pick up a full featured netbook with a hard drive, RAM, and operating system for that price.
AmazePC isn’t the first company to launch a barebones netbook. OCZ’s Neutrino DIY Netbook sells for about $269 in the US.

Why would anyone pay $310 for a bare bones netbook, when you can get the Acer 11 on sale at Amazon for $295 fully loaded. Good idea, bad pricing
Let play the irony game!
What is more ironic, again what is more ironic, that the AmazePC is better looking that the OCZ Neutrino DIY (that looks like a turd) OR that the AmazePC has the same case as the Coby 8.9″ and 10″ models?
