Amazon is launching a new service that lets you design a personalized cover for your Kindle device for the same price as a standard cover.
Amazon’s Custom Kindle Accessories lets you create your own cover, case, or skin using your own photos or by choosing from Amazon’s image library including graphics from comics, TV shows, and movies.
Customization is available for the Amazon Origami covers for the 2013 Kindle Fire HD, Kindle Fire HDX, and Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 as well as skins and covers for the Kindle Paperwhite, Kindle Touch, and previous generation Kindle HD tablets.
Prices seem to range from around $17 to $50, and while Amazon is offering customization as an official service, it looks like most covers and skins actually ship from third-party vendors including CafePress and DecalGirl.
