active media hp mini

Sure, HP has phased out the HP Mini 1000 netbook and replaced it with the HP Mini 110. But that hasn’t stopped SSD maker Active Media from releasing a line of solid state disks designed for the Mini 1000 series. The Active Media SaberTooth Z modules come in 16GB and 32GB flavors.

Both modules measure 54mm x 32mm and have a PATA ZIF connector, which means they should fit comfortably into an HP Mini 1000 netbook. They have read speeds of up to 82MB/sec and write speeds of up to 38MB/sec.

You can pick up the 16GB and 32GB SaberTooth Z SSDs for the HP Mini 1000 at Amazon for $70 and $110 respectively.
