Asus may be preparing to launch its Lamborghini branded Eee PC VX6 soon, but Acer sort of beat Asus to the punch with a sports-car inspired ultraportable that’s been around for ages. But if you were worried that the Acer Ferrari One was starting to look a bit stale, don’t worry, because DigiTimes reports that Acer plans to launch a new version soon.

The updated Ferrari One laptop will reportedly have an AMD Ontario processor, part of the upcoming AMD Fusion line. DigiTimes suggests it should be available in the fourth quarter of 2010, but the last I’d heard, Ontario wouldn’t be ready to go until early 2011. I guess either DigiTimes is a bit off… or AMD is using a conservative time frame with its public announcements.
