Acer is updating its 11.6 inch Aspire TimelineX 1830T thin and light laptop with new, more powerful processors. The notebook originally shipped with an Intel core 2 Solo processor earlier this year. Now Acer is offering the mini-laptop with a choice of an Intel Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7 CPU, with prices ranging from $600 to $900.
The base model runs $599.99 at Amazon, and has a 1.2GHz Intel Core i3 processor, 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, 5800mAh batter, 320G hard drive, and 3GB of memory. It measures 8″ x 11.2″ x 1.1″ and weighs about 3.1 pounds and ships with Windows 7 Home Premium.
For $699.99 you can step up to a model with a 1.2GHz Core i5 CPU, 4GB of memory, and a 500GB hard drive.
The top of the line $899.99 model doesn’t appear to be available yet, but it will have a 1.46GHz Intel Core i7-680 ULV processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 500GB hard drive.
All three models inlcude 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI, VGA, and 3 USB 2.0 ports as well as a 1.3MP webcam.
