Acer has been selling its TimelineX line of thin and light notebooks around the globe for the last few months. Now the TimelineX train is finally pulling into US stations, with the launch of several new models with prices starting at $599.99.
The smallest model is the Acer Aspire Timeline 1830T with an 11.6 inch display. The company is also selling 13.3 inch, 14 inch, and 15.6 inch notebooks as part of the TimelineX series.
The computers are available from US retailers starting today. The Acer Aspire Timeline 1830T appears to be the only model that ships with a choice of Intel Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) processors. The larger models all come with full voltage chips, which should provide better overall performance, but which will clearly consume more energy.
For $599.99 you can pick up an Acer Aspire Timeline 1830T with a Core i3 ULV processor, 3GB of DDR3 memory, and a 320GB hard drive.
There’s also a $699.99 model with a Core i5 ULV CPU, 4GB of memory, and a 500GB hard drive.
Prices for the larger models run between $730 and $900.
Still no 3820TG with Core i7-620M and Mobility Radeon 5650. =(
