Acer is expanding its line of 13 inch Chromebooks with new models sporting touchscreen displays.
The Acer Chromebook 13 series which launched in August feature NVIDIA Tegra K1 processors and 13.3 inch displays and up to 13 hours of battery life. Soon you’ll also be able to opt for a model with a touch panel.
Acer currently offers Chromebook 13 models with 2GB to 4GB of RAM, 16GB to 32GB of storage, and 1366 x 768 pixel or 1920 x 1080 pixel displays. List prices start at about $300, but you can often find models for lower prices.
The company hasn’t yet announced the prices or release dates of the new touchscreen models, but Acer says they’ll also feature Tegra K1 processors and up to 13 hours of battery life.
Is the Chrome OS optimized for touch or would this be for running Android apps at this point or what?
A screen that doesn’t look washed out even in a dark room would be the best improvement. And more storage.
