The Acer AspireRevo is a tiny desktop computer with the guts of a netbook. In other words, it’s a nettop with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 160GB hard drive. It comes in several different configurations, but for the first time one of the more exciting models is available in the US. You can now pick up an AspireRevo with NVIDIA ION LE graphics for $199 from Newegg.
The single core 1.6GHz Intel Atom 230 CPU should provide enough power for basic tasks like web surfing, editing documents, and so forth. But the NVIDIA ION graphics really come into play when you want to watch 1080p HD video or play some relatively high performance video games. On the down side, since Adobe Flash isn’t optimized to take advantage of the graphics processor yet, you’ll still have to put up with choppy playback of HD or high quality video from web sites like YouTube, Vimeo, and Hulu.
Still, at $199 the AspireRevo is now not just one of the most powerful nettops around, it’s also one of the cheapest.

That isn’t good enough, I thought I’d be able to play Aion Online or watch movie at ease.. They need more improvements to market this product, they should specifically target gamers.
Bah! The Canadian listings are twice the price for some reason:

Unusual since prices are normally $50-100 more at most. Wonder what that’s all about…
The link you posted is for the model with a dual core Atom processor,
2GB of RAM, and a 320GB hard drive. It costs twice the price of the
$199 model because it has twice the RAM, twice the hard drive space,
and a dual core CPU.
Well now my face is red. I definitely feel a lot better about it, though I should certainly have noticed those differences. This was the only Cdn Revo I could find, though. Lesson learned, not for the 1st time – if it’s a new model being posted on Liliputing, I probably shouldn’t expect to see it in Canada too soon…
Thanks Brad for that clarification.
no hardware dx10 support. it’s a stripped subset of the ION architecture
Thank you.
I just ordered a Aspire Revo Atom Dual Core 330 with NVIDIA ION from NCIX.com.
Got if for cheaper than building a HTPC myself using the ZOTAC motherboard w/processor.
What is the difference between NVIDIA ION graphics and NVIDIA ION LE graphics?
