1820ptzThe Acer Aspire Timeline 1820PTZ is the first member of the Acer Timeline series to sport an 11.6 inch touchscreen display. You can fold the screen down over the keyboard and use the computer as a tablet. Or you can ignore the swivel and just use the computer as a standard, but somewhat pricey, laptop.

UK retailer Play.com has started taking pre-orders for the 1820PTZ, although the estimated ship date isn’t until January 25th, 2010. The laptop is going for £529.99 plus free shipping. That’s about $863 US, but the laptop will likely sell for a lower price if and when it’s launched in North America.

The 1820PTZ features a 1.3GHz Intel Pentium SU4100 dual core CPU, integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics, and 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel touchscreen display, 3G of RAM, a 160G hard drive, and 802.11b/g/n WiFi. It also has 3 USB ports, a webcam, S/PDIF, mic, Ethernet, VGA, and HDMI ports. Its 6-cell battery is described as an 8 hour battery. The computer runs Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
