Last week the Acer Aspire 1551 thin and light laptop went up for pre-order. This week it’s shipping.

There are two different configurations available. The pricier model packs a 1.5GHz AMD Turion II Neo K625 dual core processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 320GB hard drive. The lower end model has a 1.3GHz AMD Athlon II Neo K325 CPU, 3GB of memory, and a 250GB hard drive.

Both models feature 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel displays, ATI Radeon 4225 graphics, and Windows 7 Home Premium.

The best price I’ve seen for the top of the line model is $543.79 + free shipping from B&H.

Newegg is offering the cheaper model for $479.99 + 12.65 for shipping.
