Asus Eee Pad Transformer

The Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet has been available around the globe for a few months, and it’s selling like hotcakes due to the low starting price of $399 for a WiFi-only 16GB model. Now Asus is getting ready to launch a new model which gives you a reason to pay extra: it has an integrated 3G radio.

Notebook Italia spotted a few listings for 16GB and 32GB Eee Pad Transformers in Italy, with prices ranging from 499 Euros to 599 Euros. The 3G tablet will likely be cheaper if and when it goes on sale in the US, but you’ll still have to pay for a 3G data plan if you want to make use of the mobile broadband capabilities.

The tablet has a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, a 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor, WiFi, Bluetooth, and the Android 3.1 operating system.
