Amazon has knocked $20 off the price of a 32GB Kindle Fire HD tablet. You can still pick up a model with 16GB of storage for $199
Up until recently the company had charged $249 for that model.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HD features a 7 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, a 1.2 GHz TI OMAP 4460 dual core processor, and up to 11 hours of battery life.
It runs Amazon’s custom version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich which is tied to Amazon’s app, music, movie, and book stores. And since there’s no microSD card slot, the only way to get extra storage is to buy the model with more built-in storage space (or rely on Amazon’s cloud storage service).
Flash storage isn’t exactly the most expensive component in most tablets, but device makers have a habit of charging an arm and a leg for extra storage. An iPad mini with 16GB, for instance, costs $329, while a model with 32GB costs $100 more.
It’s nice to see a company charging a more reasonable $30 premium for an extra 16GB of storage.

I think having a lower price will help it sell well. I think it could be improved to have some sort of way to add memory; aka, a micro-sd slot.
One nice advantage these have over the Nexus 7 is the HDMI out port. However these lack a GPS.
