Have your eye on that fancy new Eee Pad Transformer 10 inch Android tablet which turns into a laptop when you add an optional keyboard dock? While it’s available in Taiwan and coming soon to the UK, it will be a little while before you can get your hands on one in the US (although Netbook News notes that the tablet is listed at Best Buy as “coming soon” for $400). While you’re waiting for the tablet to ship, you can whet your appetite by checking out a 28 minute hands-on video from SweClockers.
The video is in Swedish, but tinkering with Android tablets knows no language. The vidoe gives a good look at the Android 3.0 Honeycomb user interface and the custom home screen widgets designed by Asus including a weather widget and a date and time widget. there are also some nice live wallpapers including one which shows your battery level by displaying ice cubes floating in water. The lower the water level, the less juice is left in your battery.
Noticeably absent from the video? The keyboard dock. But we’ve already seen how that works.
