As revealed last month, the next mini-laptop from One Netbook will be a little less mini than usual. The upcoming One Mix 4 is a laptop with a 10.1 inch touchscreen display and a 360-degree hinge that lets you use the computer in laptop, tablet, tent, or stand modes.

Now the company has revealed a few more details and a set of images that give us an idea of what to expect from the upcoming mini notebook.

While the One Mix 4 isn’t pocket-sized like some of One Netbook’s earlier devices, it’s still a compact, versatile notebook that looks a heck of a lot easier to carry around than an old-school 10.1 inch netbook like the Asus Eee PC 1000H, and the One Mix 4 will be a lot more powerful too thanks to Intel Core i5-1130G7 and Core i7-1160G7 Tiger Lake processor options.

Both of those are 11th-gen Intel Core Y-series chips with processors designed to run at 7 to 15 watts paired with Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics.

The little laptop’s other features include an NVMe solid state drive, a fingerprint sensor in the power button on the side of the computer, support for WiFi 6, and a display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 300 pixels per inch, and a up to 320 nits of brightness.

The new images also show that the One Mix 4 will have three USB-C ports and a microSD card slot, a backlit keyboard, and a wide touchpad below the space bar. The computer also works with a digital pen, which is most likely an optional accessory.

One Netbook hasn’t announced the price or exact release date yet, but the One Mix 4 is expected to be available in spring, 2021. One thing the company has confirmed though is that this is a WiFi-only computer. There’s no SIM card slot and no support for cellular connections.

  1. It is already available here in China.
The I7 version with 16gb ram and 512 ssd costs 1200 usd.

  2. I would buy this for work and home as I’m often travelling/working from home. No video camera might be a deal breaker though. Hopefully this is more inline with GPD 3 price rather than the overly expensive GX One Pro.

  3. If this had an LTE option, I’d replace my Surface Go LTE with it. Too bad they were only able to get LTE into the OneGx1 line and not the One Mix.

  4. Add an iPega 9167 to the sides of that, and you’ve got yourself a Switch Killer.

  5. Do they not plan on making any more 7″ – 8″ One Mix UMPCs? Why are they making a netbook?

  6. As an existing One Mix user, the 4 is too big. That’s a pass for me.

  7. I like the idea of a 10.1 inch mini laptop. These were very common a few years ago, but now they are hard to find. I had an 8.9 inch Linux Netbook back in the day. The tiny screen was difficult to read and the cramped keyboard was difficult to type on. I can’t see spending over $500 on a 7 inch, 6 inch or 5 inch mini laptop that’s barely usable. These tiny laptops seem more like a novelty or gimmick than a real computer. I also think the 11.6 inch laptop format is too big to be ‘mini’ and a little big for a travel computer. The 10.1 inch format is about the right size for me. The Asus Chromebook Flip was one of the few 10.1 inch laptops available recently. I considered buying one those, but now I’d consider the One Mix 4 as well. I’d definitely buy the One Mix 4 if it can run Linux natively without hardware driver issues compatibility issues like wifi and video.

    1. Idea is 1 thing, cramming everything without overheating is another. these specs are high powered, but still feels like old style, which im not too much a fan, can really be taken up a notch, particularly backlit keyboard, nice & raised for RSI, accidental coffee tea splash friendly, heatsinks on back, perhaps throw in proper gpu. gaming pc’s really do just aesthetics well, if 10 inch gaming pc style…that would turn my eye.

      1. I suppose tho heatsinks prevent from folding into a tablet? But do tablets really attached keyboards?

  8. Did they give up on trying to get LTE into the One Mix line?

Will there be a One Mix 4 Mini? Will future One Mix devices have 10″ and larger screens now? At this rate, the One Mix 5 will have 11″/13″ screen.

I have a One Mix 2s. I was initially excited that the 3 was going to have LTE but One Netbook ended up not doing that so I waited for the 4. However, the 4 ended up being too large for my preferences.

    Disappointing.

  9. Nice, a netbook. I would almost be interested, except for the fact that it’ll probably cost a kidney.

    1. Yeah, why are all these mini laptops so darned expensive? $700+ is out of my price range.

  10. Too bad they went even larger for the One Mix 4. I wonder if the 5 is going to be even bigger. Not liking the trend of the One Mix line getting bigger and bigger.

  11. Looks tempting. Do all USB C ports support PD and DP over USB or is it a specific one?

  12. I was looking forward to a Tiger Lake One Mix 4 but it turned out to be too big. I wonder why they stopped making UMPCs.

I guess I’ll stick with my 3 for now.

    1. Who said they stopped making UMPCs?

This is just a new model they are releasing.

Why would this mean they have stopped making UMPCs?

  13. Too bad they abandoned the 7″ (and even the 8″) screened One Mix. I was hoping to get a 7″ UMPC with LTE since One Netbook tried to get LTE onto the One Mix 3. With this 10″ screen, it’s just another laptop. Going to pass.

I guess I’ll look more into the OneGX1 Pro LTE since it seems to be the only option right now. Although it’s a bit chunky and the gaming aesthetic isn’t to my liking. At least the matte black is better than the ugly red or blue colors the previous non-Pro had.

    1. You can buy the smaller size OMY from overseas sellers.

I bought my OMY2 and OMY3S, along with some other laptops from Geekbuying.com. Service is OK, considering they are in China.

        1. No, those are the previous generations and they may not actually be manufactured anymore or soon won’t be when the One Mix 4 comes out.

    2. FYI. One Netbook couldn’t get the SD card to work properly so they removed the SD card functionality. So if you get the LTE version, you have no way to increase the storage without a USB drive sticking out of the device since the modem uses the only M.2 slot available.

  14. I continue to remain mostly interested in the 7″ to 8″ notebook size. However, this 10″ configuration seems to be the magic formula for getting everything you need. I just might compromise with a 10″ device.

This keyboard is fairly close to a totally traditional layout, except for the backspace being next to the P, and also the punctuation keys on the bottom row. The backspace shouldn’t be much of a challenge for most people, because it actually brings the key within reach of home-row.

Looking forward to seeing this thing sold in the North American market, and hopefully it’s not just available through overseas vendors. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe One Netbook products have only been sold through Chinese vendors so far (they’ve been on Amazon, but only through an overseas 3rd party seller)

  15. The screen looks like a shiny glare magnet. I’ll pass at any price – even free!

  16. Really enjoy my OMY 3S with 8.4″ display now….

So, the OMY 4 is tempting due to bit larger display for my ol’ eyes…

Any idea of the size? Would be great to compare it with my OMY 3S size-wise.

    Thanks!

    Mark

    1. Not yet, but I’m hoping to get a review unit in a month or so and if they haven’t released detailed specs by then (they probably will have), I’ll break out the tape measure. 🙂

        1. The size would be 227L* 157W* 11~17H and the weight would be around 769g.
