Facebook’s first set of smart glasses may arrive this year and, despite the company’s investments in virtual reality (Facebook owns Oculus) and augmented reality, they’re not expected to be AR glasses. Honestly, so far they sound more like Snap spectacles than anything else… but maybe that’s just because Bloomberg’s article on the upcoming wearables is light on details.

Meanwhile, Intel has a new face authentication system that works with on-device AI, Pine64 has an inexpensive new multi-port USB power supply, and Netflix is going to stop working on some older Nintendo devices this summer.

  1. How about Vuzix smart glasses. They released a pair in 2019, but their new version is much more sleek. There will be a basic version (monochrome, monocular, no camera) and a more advanced one (RGB, binocular, dual cameras, but thicker frame).

  2. Well, I don’t need to read/watch any GPD Win 3 reviews now. That keyboard is horrible. At least for me, I want a gaming + PC handheld not just gaming due to the very bad keyboard.

I’m thinking of getting the OneGX1 Pro LTE now. It’s still smaller than the Win Max which is too big for my liking and it has LTE which I really want in a UMPC. The controllers aren’t bad enough to be a deal breaker.

So, are you getting a OneGX1 Pro LTE for review? Maybe you can prioritize that over the Win 3 🙂 .

    1. I’m in the same situation:
      – Aya Neo: Doesn’t even have a keyboard -> pass

Win 3: Only good thing about the keyboard is that it exists -> pass
Win Max: Too big -> pass
OneGX1 Pro: Has a decent keyboard, still somewhat small, LTE is a plus. At this point, I’m just waiting until it’s been shipping for a bit.
