The Orange Pi Zero 2 is a tiny single-board-computer that measures just 2.4″ x 2.1″ and features sized Ethernet, USB, and HDMI ports, among other things.

First announced over a year ago, the original Orange Pi Zero 2 was never available to purchase. But now you can buy a new version with upgraded specs.

The new Orange Pi Zero 2 is available from Amazon for $16 or from AliExpress for about $17 and up.

The Orange Pi Zero 2 is powered by an Allwinner H616 processor, which is a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor with support for speeds up to 1.5 GHz and ARM Mali-G31 MP2 graphics.

It also features 512MB or 1GB of RAM, a microSD card reader for storage, and support for WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and ports including:

  • 1 x micro HDMI 2.0a
  • 1 x USB Type-C (5V/2A power input
  • 1 x USB 2.0 Type-A (plus 2 USB 2.0 GPIO headers)
  • 1 x Gigabit Ethernet

The system also has 26-pin and 13-pin headers with I2C, SPI, UART, USB host, and audio connections. You can also plug an IR receiver into the 13-pin header if you want to use an infrared remote control.

According to Shenzhen Xunlong, the company that makes the Orange Pi line of products, the Orange Pi Zero 2 should support Android 10, Ubuntu, or Debian operating systems.

  1. If You’re Moving In State – If you’re moving to a different house without hopping state lines you may determine that you do not have anything else to do with your vehicle insurance.
    In case you are 18-25 and looking to save cash, you actually assist your individual purpose considerably merely by driving any cheaper vehicle.

    Even if you aren’t actually paying your insurance premium before you get out of college, you can still useful parents money by finding discount car insurance only for college students.

  2. Nifty, of the 16$ half is the RAM probably vs everything else for the rest. H616 can address 4GB.
    Fun fact RAM prices are down a bit, due to USA vs Huawei.

  3. The photo didn’t show 3x USB ports, so I went to the Amazon link. It would be good to point out that two of the USB ports are only available on the 13 pin header. (quote: USB 2.0 Ports:3*USB 2.0 HOST(Two of them are via 13pin interface board)

  4. I had to double check, but that’s definitely an upgrade over the “Orange Pi Zero Plus 2”.

    I had/have the original. The wifi on it was absolutely terrible, but the combination of built in wired ethernet, a spare usb port, and the ability to run as a usb gadget was pretty great. Still is tempting at just $16.
